In an attempt to develop an attitude of personal commitment the students will not only be evaluated on the end products, but the individual design process, commitment and studio participation. Emphasis will be placed on the development and understanding of a conceptual approach to designing. Projects will be reviewed by open juries comprising of students, departmental lecturers, and studio critics.

The main objectives of this course are:

  •   To promote critical thinking and design innovation in an interior architecture project;

  •   To advance design and communication skills in the presentation of an interior architecture scheme;

  •   To promote intellectual inquiry through research for an interior design project;

  •   To apply ethical thinking and practice in a design approach;

  •   To further advance specialized technology and processes knowledge;

  •   To understand and apply interior architecture practical environment studies.
